International Congress of Qualitative Inquiry
Geoff and I recently attended the International Congress of Qualitative Inquiry in the United States to present a paper about the Social Haunting project. Afterwards, I stayed on for a few days and went to Milwaukee where I visited the ‘Man [sic] at Work’ collection at the Grohmann Museum.
It’s a fantastic collection and they have a roof garden with large scale sculptures representing various forms of work, There are two miners, both based on smaller sculptures by Constantin-Emile Meunier: The Old Miner and Female Mine Worker (the only woman in the series).
