Social Haunting Utopia & Brexit

I made this audio-visual collage of moments in last year’s research in to utopian possibilities explored through the idea of ‘social haunting’. These are drawn from 'ghost labs’ in Newcastle, Stoke and London.

The latter was part of Utopia Fair 2016 that took place the day after the EU Referendum result at London’s Somerset House - note the Phoenix that was drawn at that event and 'flew’ to Stoke where it was used by local people expressing their own political renewal.

Part of the collage charts two readings of an innovative and political mode of 'tarot’ - one with young people from Hackney (conducted at the Utopia Fair), and another with community activists in Stoke (hosted and facilitated by New Vic Theatre, Newcastle-Under-Lyme)
